Lighting design

The Copenhagen University Hospital Chapel needed a complete renovation and the architect Mathilde Petri was appointed to the task.

The chapel is located away from any source of natural daylight. Rambøll Lighting designed a dynamic light wall at the altar which, over time, changes the colour temperature from warm to cool white. The wall can be dimmed up and down according to the daily rhythm and thereby creates daylight associations through the use of artificial lighting.
